What is Chrome Plated ID tubing?<\/h2>\n

Chrome plated ID tube is known as ID chrome plated steel tubing also, it some times called chromed ID tube or ID chromed steel tubing for short. It is produced from Drawn Over Mandrell (DOM) or Cold Drawn Seamless (CDS) tube in steel of grade ST52.3, 1020, 1026 or 1045. The inside diameters are honed and polished, and chrome plated with a thickness of 10 microns to 200 microns according to customers specifications.<\/p>\n

The process, known as hard chrome plating, involves electroplating a thin layer of chromium onto the tube to enhance its durability, corrosion resistance, and aesthetic appearance. Chrome plating can improve the tube’s hardness, smoothness, and resistance to wear and tear. Tube Protection:<\/strong> Anti-rust oiled both inside and outer surface of the chromed ID tube, each end capped with plastic cap.<\/p>\n
